Here are five favorite bagel shops in Fairfield County:
Upper Crust Bagel Company, 197 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich: Marissa M. of Stamford wrote in a yelp review, "Favorite bagel place in the area! They make the freshest, and closest to NY tasting (being in CT), quality bagels! I like to visit on the weekends for a fresh bagel with tuna salad, but you can't go wrong with anything on their menu."
Joseph's Bagel & Grill, 1242 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield: "Best bacon egg and cheese around!! Love this place, it's always a great treat for me. The bagels are big and fluffy. The staff is very nice. They only take cash, but they have an ATM inside," wrote Elizabeth T. of Bridgeport in a yelp post.
Bagel King of Bridgeport, 3550 Main St, Bridgeport: "Yum yum yum!!! Delicious bagels and sandwiches! Awesome coffee and iced beverages, and super friendly staff!," wrote Nancy Z. of Fairfield County on yelp. The drive through is a HUGE plus as well!
Village Bagels, 415 Westport Ave., Norwalk: "Truly the best and perhaps only place to get great bagels in Fairfield County CT! They are fresh, crispy and chewy and have an amazing selection of flavors. In addition to bagels and bagel sandwiches, Village offers a great salad bar and other deli products and the best bargain coffee in town," wrote Jody B. of Westport on yelp.
Steve's Bagels and Cafe, 463 Main St., Ridgefield: "Very impressed with this small, bustling spot! Bagels are perfectly textured (no mean feat), good variety of schmears, quick, friendly service, fair prices, and the best chocolate chip cookie I've had in a long time. Coffee's good, too," said yelp poster, Eliza F. of South Salem, N.Y.
